By accessing or using EcoSense ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

Use of the Platform

EcoSense provides real-time air quality data and health advisories for informational purposes only. You agree to use the Platform solely for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes.

• You may not reproduce, redistribute, or resell any data or content from the Platform without prior written consent.
• You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the Platform's infrastructure.
• Automated scraping or bulk data extraction is strictly prohibited without authorization.

Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Air quality data is sourced from the Open-Meteo API and third-party sensors. While we strive for accuracy, EcoSense makes no warranties regarding the completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose of this data.

Health Advisory Notice

The health recommendations provided are general guidelines based on WHO standards. They do not constitute medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns related to air quality.

Limitation of Liability

EcoSense and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or reliance on its data.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Our Commitment

EcoSense respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the Platform.

Information We Collect

• Location Data: If you use the "My Location" feature, your browser shares your approximate coordinates with the Platform solely to fetch local air quality data. This data is not stored on our servers.
• Usage Data: Anonymous, non-identifiable usage analytics may be collected to improve the Platform.
• Search Queries: City and coordinate searches are transmitted to Open-Meteo and OpenStreetMap APIs to retrieve data.

Third-Party Services

EcoSense integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Open-Meteo Air Quality API — for real-time pollutant data
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — for geocoding and reverse geocoding
• CartoDB — for map tile rendering
• Google Fonts — for typography

Data Retention

EcoSense does not maintain a persistent user database. No personal data is collected or stored by the Platform.

Cookies

The Platform does not use tracking cookies. Session-level browser storage may be used to maintain UI state during your visit only.
